MaineAEYC is excited to partner with The Office of Child and Family Services to introduce the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Scholarship Program. T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® collaborates with early childhood educators, higher education institutes, child care centers, and family child care providers to offer scholarship programs and support systems that improve the knowledge and compensation of early childhood educators. In return young children receive high quality and consistent education from highly qualified educators.

Scholarships will be rewarded to early childhood educators that are currently working in a child care facility or family child care program who are already enrolled or interested enrolling in a 2 year to 4 year college or university for Early Childhood Education.

In the coming weeks, MaineAEYC will be sharing more information. For the time being, to learn more information, read answers to Frequently Asked Questions, and access a new Careers in Early Childhood Directory, please visit our website: www.maineaeyc.org/teach. If you’re interested in applying for a scholarship or sponsoring an employee, please email Morgan Tolin, T.E.A.C.H. Counselor morgan@maineaeyc.org

FCCAM works to unify, promote and strengthen quality professional family child care in Maine. We are the state affiliate of the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC). We are the only professional association in Maine dedicated specifically to supporting family child care providers. FCCAM understands the critical role of family child care providers in the lives of children and families. We also understand the hard work and long hours that are required to provide the much needed child care services in Maine’s diverse communities. FCCAM provides opportunities to network both locally and statewide with other family child care professionals for training and support. Through collaboration with other organizations we are engaged with advocating for children and their families in Maine, increasing awareness of our professionalism and value to our communities.
