EIN – You Need One!

If you do not have an EIN (an Employer Identification Number), no matter how many years you have been providing child care, you should get one. This registers your business with the federal government. This number works in place of your social security number for business related items (ie. set up a bank account, apply for loans, and paying taxes).

Fingerprint Confirmation

Email confirmation of eligibility is now available for the fingerprint background check results of newly hired employees. Five business days following an individual’s fingerprint appointment a licensed provider may email the address below to receive the individual’s eligibility status. This email may be used as verification until the official Letter of Eligibility is received in the mail. Send an email with the individual’s full name and date of birth to Childcarecheck.dhhs@maine.gov

Volunteers

FCCAM welcomes all it’s members to volunteer their talents on any of our Committees or events. If you have an interest just drop us an email and we will connect you with the appropriate Committee Chair.
