IECMH trainings and consultation groups are offered by ECE Consultation for ME. The informal consultation group provides an opportunity for teachers, directors, and providers of early childhood to come together and discuss issues and concerns related to social-emotional development and behavior in young children. In addition, we will discuss strategies to enhance overall classroom environments.
Topics may include:
- Managing challenging behavior
- Identifying developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations
- Practical strategies for a healthy social emotional classroom climate
- Improving responsiveness of adults to meet the needs of children
- Supporting staff to build effective partnerships with peers and families
- Supporting staff through stress management and self-care
