We welcome all Maine’s Family Child Care Professionals and supporters of family child care to join the Family Child Care Association of Maine (FCCAM), state affiliate for the National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC).
FCCAM understands the critical role of family child care providers in the lives of children and families. We also understand the hard work and long hours that are required to provide the much needed child care services in Maine’s diverse communities.
FCCAM is recognized as a non-profit professional state-level organization that offers support to family child care professionals statewide. We are the only professional association in Maine dedicated specifically to supporting family child care providers. FCCAM is not party affiliated, but as an organization advocates for policy that is appropriate for children, families and the family child care professional.
Membership in FCCAM will provide opportunities to network both locally and statewide with other family child care professionals for training and support. Membership supports collaboration with other organizations that are currently engaged with advocating for children and their families in Maine. It provides an opportunity to drive awareness of our professionalism and value to our communities. Membership provides a stronger voice on changes that impact Family Child Care in Maine directly.
